The company was founded by Stephen MacCormack in 2003 as a spin-off of the provider consulting practice of CGI Information Technology and Management Consultants.
For over 35 years, Stephen MacCormack has assisted healthcare industry clients, including academic medical centers, multi-hospital organizations, community hospitals, provider consortiums, advocacy groups and associations to find solutions to complex financial and management issues. Steve is a recognized expert on Federal and New York State reimbursement methodologies and the regulatory / policy environment. He has extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient payment systems, clinical documentation improvement, case mix management, medical records coding and operations, billing operations, compliance audits, charge capture / Charge Master, financial planning, and litigation support in the reimbursement area.
